Private classes are a great way to start off with Pilates, to really learn the correct technique and develop a better understanding of your body.
“Grace is there with me every second of my movement correcting and checking my posture constantly, making sure all the time that the bespoke exercises are comfortable to my needs.” Helena Game
It may be beneficial for you to have one to one sessions instead of attending group classes. I offer these personalised classes in the St Albans area. One to one classes can really address the specific issues in your body and can be invaluable in the benefits that they bring to give you a healthy and pain free lifestyle.

If you have particular concerns about these or any other specific issues, one to one tuition can be a great place to start your journey. If you want to work at your own pace and receive more individual tuition or be given a personalised plan to do on your own then it may be that private classes would be a perfect fit for you. All you need to do is call or email for advice on the best way to proceed.
Private classes are a great way to start off with Pilates, to really learn the correct technique and develop a better understanding of your body. You will be given a postural analysis and we will talk through your medical history and your aims and objectives. We will establish goals together and design an individual programme that will be reassessed and developed regularly to give you the optimum benefit from the sessions.
You will be given an individual practice plan that we will add to and change as you gain strength and understanding.
Private tuition can increase motivation and understanding of Pilates and make it easier to achieve your goals.
I charge £75 per class for individual tuition with discounts for blocks of 5 classes (£325) or 10 (£600). For 2 or more people please contact me for prices.
Where do the sessions take place?
In the comfort of your home! If this doesn’t work for you, we can arrange for you to come to my home in St Albans instead.
Can my baby be there?
Yes, if necessary. I recommend that you try to find childcare or coordinate with nap time (if you have a predictable baby!) as then you will get more out of the class but I have been known to hold a baby throughout the session!
What do I need to wear?
Anything that you feel comfortable in! As long as you can move easily it doesn’t matter what you are wearing. Sometimes it is worth bringing layers as you might warm up throughout the class!
Do I need anything for the class?
No, I will bring all the equipment you need although some people prefer to have their own mat but this isn’t essential.
Can I still do the class if my babies aren’t babies anymore?!
Yes! I work with postnatal women of all ages and some of the most amazing results come from women who’s kids are all grow up! If you haven’t rehabilitated your body then these classes are for you no matter how old your baby is!
When are you available for private sessions?
Monday afternoon, all day Wednesday and Thursday 11.30am-2pm
How do I book a private class?
Please email me directly so I can let you know my availability.
Do I have to sign up for a block of classes?
No but I recommend that you commit to at least 5 sessions in order to see and feel any progress from the classes.

“Grace is a fantastic teacher, she takes the time to understand your individual needs, pregnancy aches and pains, and never pushes you past what your growing body can handle.”
“Grace is the best pilates teacher I’ve ever had! She possesses an enormous wealth of knowledge on pregnancy and post-natal pilates, and she is constantly expanding this knowledge.”
