Pilates for New Mums

As a new mum, it can be really tough to make time for yourself. In these friendly and relaxed online classes, you’ll get personalised advice on a safe and effective way to gain strength and move better – all from the comfort of your own home.

This is not a standard ‘online workout’. Combining myofascial release techniques and restorative movement with more traditional strengthening exercises, these classes are a perfect programme for your postnatal recovery. One client told us these online classes are “the highlight of my week”!

We’ll thoroughly screen you before you start so we can really get to know you and understand what you hope to achieve from the sessions. We’ll plan the group classes to respond to your individual needs through this period of transition, all while challenging you and providing support.

We have years of experience in supporting new mums with a range of postnatal conditions including abdominal separation (diastasis recti), pelvic floor dysfunction, sacroiliac problems, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic organ prolapse and back pain.

Who it’s for

Pilates for New Mums is for you if:

  • you’ve had a baby in the last nine months and want the chance to exercise without having to organise childcare
  • you want to connect to your pelvic floor and abdominals
  • you want to release tension while regaining stability and strength
  • you’re interested in learning techniques to support your posture and every day activities with your baby
  • you’re worried about issues like abdominal separation, pelvic floor dysfunction or PGP
  • you want to gain a deeper understanding of your postnatal body
  • you want to learn how to exercise safely for your pelvic floor and abdominals and how to build up to more intense exercise
  • you’ve had your initial GP check and been given clearance to exercise

If you had any specific problems postnatally it might be best for you to start with some private Zoom classes before moving into a group situation. What the course covers

The Pilates for New Mums online course bundle includes:

  • 6 x 60-minute online Pilates sessions through Zoom
  • A 30-minute one-to-one Zoom session to go through deep screening, your personal goals and personalised steps you can take to help achieve these
  • Nutrition and wellness PDF
  • Digital “goody bag” including Zoom calls with a midwife, nutritionist, women’s health osteopath, lactation specialist and women’s health physio
  • Access to closed Facebook group including over 30 x 10-minute videos of the exercises we do in classes
  • Meditation track for relaxation
  • Priority booking for any available Postnatal Plus classes


Your investment is £99 for all of this invaluable learning and support.

If you’re new to the classes you may also need to buy our equipment bundle for £25 (if you don’t already own this equipment), including an overball, spiky massage ball, fascial release ball and theraband.

What should I wear? Anything that you feel comfortable in! As long as you can move easily it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing. Sometimes it is worth wearing layers as you might warm up throughout the class!

How many people will be in the class? We book a maximum of ten mums onto these classes to make sure you get plenty of individual tuition.

Do I have to sign up to a block of classes? We believe block bookings are the best way to ensure you really see the benefit of the sessions, so we only book this way. We don’t take drop-ins because we want to screen you fully before you start so we can get to know your body and make sure that you get the most out of the classes. If you miss a class there may be a chance to make it up at another one of our classes within the same block – just let us know with at least a week’s notice and we’ll do our best to fit you into another class on the timetable.

What will I need? An exercise mat and some water, as well as an overball, spiky massage ball, fascial release ball and theraband (you can buy these through us when you book if you don’t already own them).

Can I bring my baby? Yes, babies are very welcome but this isn’t a class for babies – it’s all about you. You’re welcome to get childcare and enjoy the class alone if you prefer, or if you have your baby with you, you’ll be responsible for them throughout the class and they shouldn’t be involved in any of the exercises.
