Online Core Pilates For Mums

All ages welcome! All Mums deserve to restore their body after they have been through the wonder of pregnancy and birth. And it doesn’t matter how old your child is, you can still do this! You will feel the benefit of these pelvic floor and core focused classes whether your baby is 6 weeks or 16 years old!

We will work to release tension, gain strength and build your understanding of your body in a challenging but enjoyable way. We are supportive and non-judgemental in our approach – you will gain confidence in your body as you improve your core function, your posture and your pelvic floor strength.

There’s a saying within the world of postnatal fitness: “Once postnatal, always postnatal”. We’re firm believers in this!

Our specialist Online Core Pilates classes combine release work and restorative movement with strengthening work, and THEY MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD! We aren’t about punishing your body, we move you in a way that is effective but also feels wonderful. We encourage you to tune into your body and learn what is right for you, establishing a new relationship with movement and exercise.

Our Online Core Pilates classes are perfect for you if:

  • You have had a baby at any point in your life – even if your baby isn’t a baby any more! However, if your baby is under six months old, we would recommend you take a look at our Online Postnatal Pilates class.
  • You feel like your core strength is lacking
  • You have concerns about your pelvic floor and want to work on releasing or strengthening the muscles (we will always recommend you see a Women’s Health Physio if you are experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction)
  • You haven’t got around to prioritising your body since having children – it’s never too late! Some of our most amazing results have come from mums of teenagers.

You don’t need previous Pilates experience to join these sessions, but if you haven’t been to a Centred Mums class before, you’ll need to book in for a private session or sign up for Pelvic Floor Confidence (which includes a 6-week block of these sessions too!) before attending. This allows you to learn basic breathing techniques, and we’ll get to know you and understand your needs. We tailor each class to the people in it, so it’s important we get to know you before you enter the group.

Online Core Pilates For Mums is delivered via Zoom, with access to some online extras via our membership portal. The Core Pilates for Mums online course package includes:

  • 11 or 12 x 60-minute online group Pilates sessions through Zoom.
  • Digital “goody bag” including Zoom calls with a life coach, nutritionist, women’s health osteopath and women’s health physio.
  • Nutrition and wellness pack.
  • Meditation track for relaxation

Please let us know if you had any specific health problems. We have years of experience working with clients with diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic-organ-prolapse, sciatica and more.

You’ll need an exercise mat and some water along with several pieces of equipment – a spiky massage ball, a TheraBand and a ‘magic’ fascial release ball. All of which are included in our £35 Equipment Bundle, which you can add to your order when you book.

FAQs

What should I wear? As long as you are comfortable and can move easily, it doesn’t matter what you are wearing. You may warm up through the class, so it is worth considering layers that you can remove easily.

How many people will be in my class? Our Core Pilates for Mums classes are for a larger group of up to 30 people, so we encourage you to build up a foundational level before you join – whether that is through one to one sessions, joining the Postnatal Classes or signing up to the Pelvic Floor Confidence Programme first.

Do I have to buy a block of classes? We believe block bookings are the best way to ensure you really see the benefit of the sessions, so we only book this way. We don’t take drop-ins because we want to screen you fully before you start, so we can get to know your body and make sure that you get the most out of the classes. If you do miss a class, there may be a chance to make it up at another one of our classes within the same block. Please let us know with at least a week’s notice, and we’ll do our best to fit you into another class on the timetable.
